Stunning hand-cut amethysts are displayed to perfection in Victorian 14k gold drop earrings. The royal purple gems are well matched with an amazing sparkle. Many small prongs hold the stones in open-backed settings, allowing lots of light to illuminate the gems. The drops are suspended on graceful 14k gold French ear wires. Succulent is the only word to describe these big, beautiful earrings. Circa 1880.
